Terminal 21 Bangkok: Floor-by-Floor Guide

Terminal 21 is the mall most visitors end up in. Each floor is themed as a different city.

But the real reason to come is the fourth floor.

Getting there

BTS Asok, Exit 1 — direct skywalk
MRT Sukhumvit, Exit 3 — underground link

It sits where the BTS and MRT meet, which makes it hard to avoid.

The floors

FloorThemeWhat's there
LGCaribbeanSupermarket, household
GRomeCosmetics, accessories
MParisWomenswear
1TokyoWomen's fashion
2LondonMenswear
3IstanbulBags, shoes
4San FranciscoPier 21 food court
5San FranciscoRestaurants
6HollywoodCinema

The décor changes completely between floors, which is why everyone photographs the escalators.

Pier 21 is the point

The fourth floor food court is among the cheapest in any Bangkok mall.

How it works:

1. Collect a card at the entrance
2. Order at any stall using the card
3. Cash is not accepted at the stalls
4. Return the card on the way out and refund the balance

Don't forget the refund. The return desk sits near the entrance.

Thai staples — pad thai, som tam, noodle soups, khao man gai — with photo menus. Ordering is easy.

Avoid 12:00–13:00 and 18:00–19:00. There will be nowhere to sit.

Toilets

Themed to match each floor, and clean. Worth knowing if you're passing through the area.

Watch out for

There is more than one Terminal 21. Branches exist in Pattaya, Rayong and Korat. Check you're reading about Asok.

Clothing is cheap and the quality matches. Treat it as souvenirs and light basics.

Nearby

  • Asok intersection — street stalls and massage shops
  • Sukhumvit Soi 23 — restaurants
  • One BTS stop — Phrom Phong (EmQuartier) or Nana

In short

  • Where the BTS and MRT meet
  • Each floor is a different city
  • Floor 4 food court is the real reason to come
  • Card in, card out, refund the balance
  • Skip peak meal times

Terminal 21 sits directly on BTS Asok, so the BTS and MRT guide is worth reading first. For how it compares with the larger malls, see CentralWorld, Siam Paragon and ICONSIAM. For cheaper souvenirs, Chatuchak beats any mall.
